Gloria Irizarry has been in the Information Technology field since 1980. She began her career at Southern Wine & Spirits Business Solutions Group (BSG) as a programming consultant and was hired as a full-time employee in 1998. Gloria has served as BSG Programming Manager, as well as Functional Specifications and Quality Assurance Manager.

In her current role as Account Executive, Gloria is responsible for consulting, advising and supporting the business technology needs for multiple Divisions of Southern Wine & Spirits.

Prior to joining BSG, Gloria was a Senior Programming Analyst for Royal Caribbean, and a Programming Consultant for SkyNet and Kole Industries.

Born raised and educated in the Dominican Republic, Gloria decided against following her family’s history of becoming a Dentist to pursue her
Computer Science Degree at the Universidad Mundial in the Dominican Republic. Since settling in the United States, Gloria has gone on to achieve her Oracle DBA, Crystal Reports Programmer Certification and recently became a Project Management Professional.

Gloria also achieved her lifetime dream to become a pilot when she earned her private license to fly single engine planes. She has flown over 250 hours. Gloria is also an avid swimmer, cyclist and triathlon participant.
