As an Account Executive for Southern Wine and Spirits Business Solutions Group (BSG) Van Scott serves as the BSG liaison for Southern Wine and Spirits of Florida and Southern Wine and Spirits of Illinois.

After receiving his BS in Computer Science from Imperial College of Science and Technology (London University), Van started his IT career by spending six years as a senior programmer for British West Indies Airways (BWIA) and one year as a database administrator (DBA) for Telplus.

Van joined Southern Wine and Spirits in 1991 and has expanded his IT and industry experience through various capacities, including DBA, senior analyst/programmer, applications development manager and functional manager. Van also served as a development team leader and was instrumental in developing Sapphire, a proprietary Order to Cash application that currently handles all product distribution needs from receiving product into the warehouse to shipping product to customers in a number of Southern Wine & Spirits Divisions.

In his free time he enjoys golf and horse racing
