Director, Shared Services
Javier Valladares joined Southern Wine & Spirits of America, Inc.’s (SWS) Shared Services Division in 2002 as Manager of Payroll and Benefits. He left Deloitte & Touche’s Enterprise Risk Services group in Miami, where he conducted IT system audits and client consulting, to become a member of the SWS team.
Prior to Deloitte & Touche, Javier was Payroll Manager at Career Exchange, a temporary services agency in his hometown of Miami.
As Manager of Payroll and Benefits, Javier and his staff coordinated all of the necessary paperwork for all new SWS employees, as well as managed changes to an existing employee’s status, to ensure that payroll and benefits information is entered and processed through SWS’ SAP system.
In early 2005, Javier was promoted to Director of Shared Services after Southern’s Group and Shared Services Divisions were merged to create the Business Solutions Group. In this capacity, Javier oversees payroll and benefits.
Javier is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Florida International University, where he also attained his Masters in MIS/Information Systems.
In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family. The self-admitted gadget freak is always the first on the block with the latest gadget - especially those associated with high-fidelity music.
