Vice President, Business Solutions Group


Business and Technology go hand-in-hand; to be successful the synergy between the two can’t falter. It is with this philosophy that Jose Curtis earned the role of Vice President, Business Solutions Group (BSG ).

 

Business Solutions is the group responsible for delivering Technical, Financial, Operational and Logistical services to Southern Wine and Spirits of America. Jose’s overall responsibility is to provide strategic direction to the group and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Technology departments.

 

Prior to his current role, Jose was the Business Development Director for the Group Services Division (GSD); a group that merged with Shared Services Division (SSD) in February 2005 to create Southern Wine and Spirits Business Solutions Group.

 

Jose has over 19 years of experience in IT and the Alcohol Beverage Industry. Originally hired by SWS as IS Director for the state of Nevada in 1996, he was quickly recruited to join the visionary team responsible for building a centralized technology and back office operation to increase communication between SWS’ autonomous divisions and establish enterprise-wide standards. As IS Director of the newly formed Group Services Division in Miramar, Florida, Jose tapped his 10 years of experience as CIO for Gold Coast Beverages – his home prior to joining SWS.

 

A devoted golfer, Jose cherishes his early Saturday morning rounds. He spends the rest of the weekend with his family.


Originally from Nicaragua, Jose attended the Military Academy of Nicaragua, an Academic and Military school where he earned a college degree. At the age of 20, he came to the United States and discovered his passion for business, computers and technology.
