Gilbert Reyes
Gilbert Reyes joined Southern Wine and Spirits Business Solutions Group (BSG) in 2006 as Director of Business Applications. In this role, Gilbert has been responsible for overseeing implementation of new business processes and software solutions within the Application Development, Web Services, Quality Assurance areas, and Software Functional Specifications. Today, Gilbert serves the organization as Director of Enterprise Applications, directing and overseeing the SAP implementation as well as the data warehouse and business intelligence solutions utilized throughout the organization.
Equipped with a wealth of knowledge, Gilbert brings to Southern over twenty years of experience in the Information Systems environment. Prior to joining the organization, he spent over 11 years with Arby’s LLC most recently serving as the Officer and Vice President of Information Technology. While at Arby’s, Gilbert led the implementation of numerous solutions across the enterprise and was responsible for all IT functional areas such as enterprise back office application development and maintenance, data center operations, web development and maintenance, data warehousing & Business Intelligence, help desk operations, restaurant system deployment and maintenance to all company owned and operated restaurants, as well as all voice & data communications. Prior to Arby’s, Gilbert spent over 8 years at Burger King Corporation in the areas of Strategic Planning and Development, Distribution and retail where he was responsible for the deployment of restaurant systems in all corporate restaurants both domestic and internationally. In addition to his work in the corporate arena, Gilbert’s efforts have been recognized in trade magazines such as VSR, QSR and Internet Week.
Gilbert holds a Bachelor’s Degree in System Science and is currently pursuing his Masters Degree in Management Information Systems at the University of Miami. In his spare time, Gilbert enjoys spending time with his family as well as coaching his son’s baseball and basketball teams.
