Noah Orlen joined the BSG team at Southern Wine & Spirits in July of 2009. As Director of Enterprise Architecture, Noah is charged with working across team and organizational boundaries, to establish a shared vision and to continue to evolve the SWS Enterprise Architecture into an agile foundation for business execution. Noah is focused on building a bridge between SWS business and IT strategy by applying a business process approach to integration that delivers service-oriented solutions, which improve operational capabilities, realize new opportunities, and exceed SWS customer and supplier expectations.
Noah has broad-based experience as a manager, software architect, electrical engineer, and seasoned technologist. As a thought-leader, Noah holds eight U.S. Patents and has delivered software solutions, products, and services to market, as well as providing business consulting and IT solutions. Noah has held various positions of increasing responsibility in major global corporations, Unisys, GE and Motorola, as well as several startup companies. He also ran his own consulting company, where SWS was a client, as well as other corporations and a state agency. While consulting for SWS during the period of January 2005 through the end of 2007, Noah worked on a number of strategic projects in the areas of SOA, enterprise modernization, and e-commerce/B2B.
Noah has a proven track-record architecting and developing leading-edge solutions and managing cross-functional teams. His development expertise and industry experience includes, software development, Web & Internet technologies, open-source software, service oriented architecture, cloud services, e-commerce, intelligent highway & transportation, and wireless/cellular products systems. Noah has a Masters in Electrical Engineering from Florida Atlantic University and a BSEE from Polytechnic University, Brooklyn, NY.
In addition to spending time with his family, Noah is an avid motorcyclist and has conquered some of the most challenging mountain passes in the Alps.
