Vice President/Director of National Accounts
Ken Kribel began his career 31 years ago as a waiter for the Rusty Pelican chain while attending California State University, Long Beach. He then moved to Colorado and worked for several national chains, including Houlihans. Before joining Southern Wine & Spirits of California, Kribel was a sommelier in Aspen.

The native Californian, moved back to his home state to begin his new role as Wine Representative for Southern. Five years later, Kribel developed Southern's first National Accounts Division in California and was named Vice President of National Accounts for Southern Wine & Spirits of California. Kribel and Southern Wine & Spirits essentially pioneered the National Accounts concept and set the standards for others throughout the country to follow.
After 31 years in the industry, Kribel has literally watched national accounts as a business grow. His customers, that had four or five units ten years ago, now have a 100 or more units across the country. This experience, and a successful 21 year career at Southern's California division, earned Kribel the lead role in the newly formed National Accounts Division for Southern Wine & Spirits of America, Inc.
As Vice President/Director of National Accounts, Kribel oversees a team of approximately 40 people around the country who are dedicated to serving restaurant chains, hotels and other accounts that cross state lines. The goal is to offer customers a consistent, innovative strategy to promote and grow their business at a national level.
Kribel studied Business at California State University, Long Beach and is an avid golfer. He attended school on a golf scholarship and has been a caddy for his nephew, Joel Kribel, in two U.S. Opens, The Master and three U.S. Amateurs Tournaments. Kribel lives in California with his wife of five years and two young children.
