Mark has been with Southern Wine & Spirits for over 24 years.
During his tenure, Mark has been instrumental in the development of the first wave picking and case sortation system in the alcoholic beverage industry back in the early 1990’s. Since then, Mark and team have implemented over 10 additional case sortation systems across the nation. Mark is the senior technical leader in Material Handling Automation Projects and our Warehouse Management Software.
Previously, he held several positions at SWS that paved his path to become the first Vice President in Supply Chain Technology. He was Director of IT for the State of California for 10 years before becoming Director of Operations for Kentucky - where he consolidated two wholesalers to form Southern Wine and Spirits of Kentucky. He was SAP Technical Team Lead and rolled out SAP from 2000 to 2005. He is also credited for deploying the first delivery solutions, co-led automated bottle voice-picking and conveyor label-picking and sortation implementations across the country. He has taken the role of project manager for new distribution facilities in Phoenix, Reno, Syracuse, Lakeland, Indiana, Kentucky and Washington. He was also a member of the Senior Team responsible for the implementation of the ASRS system in Santa Fe Springs, CA, as well as, implementing the Warehouse Management Systems in six divisions so far…and counting.
In his spare time, he enjoys boating, fishing and scuba-diving with his wife and friends.
