Latest acquisition brings Southern's operations to an even dozen states in the U.S.A.

   MIAMI -- October 7, 2004 -- In a transaction finalized in the early morning hours of  Thursday, October 07, 2004, Southern Wine & Spirits of America, Inc., the nation's No. 1 ranked  wine and spirits distributor, announced the purchase of 100 percent of the assets of Premier Wine & Spirits of New York and their western New York state distribution arm, Letchworth Wine & Spirits, which positions Southern Wine & Spirits of New York from its inception to develop capabilities for statewide presence and coverage.

   Mr. Wayne E. Chaplin, President and Chief Operating Officer of Southern Wine & Spirits of America, Inc., said: "I want to personally acknowledge and thank both David and Marc Taub for entrusting Southern Wine & Spirits of New York to continue to build on the excellence established by Premier Wine & Spirits.    In response to Mr. Chaplin's comments, Mr. David S.
