Southern Wine & Spirits of New York Announces Expansion in Empire State, Enters into Agreement with Eber Companies of New York and its Affiliates

MIAMI - February 13, 2007 – In a transaction anticipated to close on March 31, 2007, Southern Wine & Spirits of New York Inc. – a division of Southern Wine & Spirits of America, Inc., the nation’s leading wine and spirits distributor with a tradition of service excellence since 1968 – announced today that it will acquire certain assets of Eber-NDC, LLC, Eber Bros. Wine & Liquor Corp., including the House of Burgundy and the Liberty Wine Company  divisions, all based in the state of New York.

Wayne E. Chaplin, President & COO of Southern Wine & Sprits of America, Inc. said: “It is an exciting day for our New York organization as we bring together the history and legacy of the Eber Organization with ours.  The combined expertise will serve us well as we continue to grow in the New York State market, furthering our goal of being the most customer-oriented and supplier-focused distributor in this great state.”

Mr. Chaplin added: “I am excited that Lester Eber will join our organization as Senior Vice President and work with me and Harvey R. Chaplin, Chairman & CEO of our Company.
