Southern Wine & Spirits of Nevada Promotes David Bart to Executive Vice President – General Manager
Matt Munn Promoted to Senior Vice President-General Sales Manager, Spirits Glenn Morrison Promoted to Senior Vice President-General Sales Manager, Wine Ian Staller Promoted to Senior Vice President-Chief Financial Officer

November 16, 2011, Las Vegas, Nevada – Southern Wine & Spirits of Nevada (SWS of Nevada), a division of the nation’s largest wine and spirits distributor, Southern Wine & Spirits of America, Inc. (Southern), announced today the promotion of David Bart to Executive Vice President-General Manager for the State of Nevada. Bart will report directly to SWS of Nevada’s Senior Managing Director Larry Ruvo.

According to Ruvo, “With David leading our day-to-day operations in Nevada, you can be sure that Southern will continue to win in this fast-paced, dynamic marketplace. David will work closely with me, the new leadership team we are establishing around him and our capable SWS of Nevada professionals to continue to deploy the best brand stewardship, and sales and service capabilities to our suppliers and customers.”

Ruvo added, “There is no doubt that David is well prepared to partner with our highly experienced executive leadership team including newly appointed members Matt Munn, Senior Vice President – General Sales Manager for Spirits, Glenn Morrison, Senior Vice President – General Sales Manager for Wine, and Ian Staller, Senior Vice President – Chief Financial Officer. These four promotions are a key part of Southern’s unceasing commitment to bring the highest levels of talented leadership to our markets of operation. ”

Bart was originally hired eight years ago by Southern Wine & Spirits of Illinois as the Vice President – On-Premise Spirits. Three years later, he was promoted to Senior Vice President – Spirits for SWS of Nevada—a role he has held ever since.

Commenting on the promotion, Southern’s Executive Vice President – General Manager Brad Vassar said, “David is among the most skilled sales executives we have at Southern. His knowledge of the Nevada marketplace and his expertise in sales and marketing make him uniquely qualified to fill this role.”

Commenting on his appointment, Bart said, “I am truly thrilled to take on this state-wide role for Southern Wine & Spirits of Nevada. Larry and my predecessor, John Wittig, have built a world-class, multi-faceted organization here in Nevada. Bart will assume his new role starting January 1, 2012.
