Gray to Succeed Patrick Daul as Vice President–General Manager

December 5, 2011, Miami, FL - Southern Wine & Spirits of America, Inc. (Southern), the nation’s leading wine and spirits distributor with operations in 35 states, today announced the appointment of Stuart Gray as Vice President-General Manager of the company’s Pacific Wine & Spirits (PWS) selling division in California. The PWS Division in California represents the Diageo and Moët Hennessy portfolios across the entire state.

“With 20 years of distinguished performance in the beverage industry, I have every confidence in Stuart’s ability to identify key market opportunities and achieve Southern, Diageo and Moët Hennessy’s goals and objectives in California,” said Gerry Rivero, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Coastal Pacific Wine & Spirits’ corporate leadership team. “Stuart has proven himself to be an individual that understands strategic supplier and customer needs and how best to fulfill them,” Rivero added.

Gray started with Gallo in Marketing and Sales in1992 and worked his way up to General Sales Manager, Director of Business Development and to National Director of Trade Development.  
In 2010, he joined Southern’s Pacific Wine & Spirits Division in Southern California first as Vice President-sales manager and then as Vice President-Trade Development.

Gray will report to Gerry Rivero, and his new role is effective on Jan. 2, 2012.
