Southern Wine & Spirits of America, Inc. Promotes Carlos Vigil to VP-Inside Sales and Direct Marketing
Southern’s sales and marketing capabilities have been a core capability at the company since its inception.  Vigil’s new role will build on Southern’s success in these areas by leveraging new marketing channels such as inside sales, SouthernWineOnline (SWO) and social media.  Consistent with Southern’s Vision and Strategy, this role will seek to enhance our brand building and goal achievement value for suppliers and our service and support value for customers.

Commenting on the new position, Fennessey said, "I have worked closely with Carlos on our new Inside Sales Program pilot and rollout in Indiana and learned that he is a bright, talented, industrious executive with a deep inventory of best practices related to customer targeting, relationship selling, talent recruiting and development, and results delivery and measurement.  He is also a quick study, and has developed meaningful insights into the alcoholic beverage industry and the potential untapped opportunities for Southern, our customers and our suppliers.”

Brad Vassar, Southern Wine & Spirits of America’s Executive Vice President-General Manager, added, “Carlos’ background in management consulting, deep content knowledge about sales and marketing strategy and prior experience at Southern as a Director in Southern’s Strategic Programs Group make him uniquely qualified for this role. I am excited to see Carlos help to grow these marketing channels for the benefit of our suppliers and customers alike.”

Vigil assumed this role in the third quarter of 2011, and is presently implementing the company’s new Inside Sales Program with Southern Wine & Spirits of Florida.
