Strategic, Executive Sales Appointments Reinforce Portfolio Management Team

SYOSSET, NEW YORK - May 20, 2009 – Larry Goodrich, Executive Vice President, General Manager of Southern Wine & Spirits of New York and Mark Lauber, President of Lauber Imports of New York today have announced the appointment of three experienced sales executives. These individuals have become key members of the Company’s Lauber-New York Imports Division’s Senior Management Team, and their appointments will immediately help to strengthen Lauber’s already impressive statewide operations and presence in New York State.

The appointments of Steve Bonavita as General Sales Manager, Tim Burns as Sales Manager and Anthony Carrollo as Director of Sales and Marketing—all within the Lauber-New York Imports group—are effective immediately.

Commenting on how these senior executives will help strengthen Lauber Imports’ operations across The State of New York, Mr. Goodrich said, “Steve, Tim and Anthony are some of the most experienced and talented senior sales and marketing executives I have had the privilege of working with during my career. In support of our supplier partners, these gentlemen will work together under the leadership of Brett Dunne, Vice President & General Sales Manager -Wine, Southern Wine & Spirits of New York, Mark Lauber, President of Lauber Imports of New York and Eric Niccolls, Vice President & General Sales Manager -Wine, Southern Wine and Spirits of New York Upstate.  I am confident these professionals will take the performance of our Lauber Imports fine wine portfolio to new levels of sales growth and distribution. On behalf of the entire Southern Wine & Spirits of New York Team, I congratulate them on their new positions and responsibilities.” Mr. Bonavita will report jointly to Mr. Dunne and Mr. Mark Lauber, as well as to Mr. Niccolls in Upstate New York.  

Mr. Dunne said, “I welcome Steve back to the Southern and Lauber families. Steve brings over two decades of industry experience in positions of increasing responsibility. We all know he will make great contributions going forward for the entire Lauber Imports portfolio—as will his Lauber colleagues Tim Burns and Anthony Carrollo in their new positions.”

Immediately prior to joining Southern, Mr. Bonavita served as General Sales Manager for Empire Merchants, Metro New York Retail Division. He graduated from Clarion University in Pennsylvania, and, in his first job after graduation, served as a sales representative for Southern Wine & Spirits of California.

A 20-year wine industry veteran, Mr. Burns most recently served as Director of Channel Management, Southern Wine & Spirits of New York, Metro Division. With more than 30-years of experience in the wine and spirits business including 10 years working for a leading Long Island retailer, Mr. Carrollo most recently served as Division Manager for Lauber imports of Metro New York.
