Southern Wine & Spirits Bolsters National Accounts Capabilities
February 15, 2010 – Miami, FL – In direct response to the growing importance of on- and off-premise national accounts, Southern Wine & Spirits of America, Inc. (Southern) has bolstered its National Accounts Group. The enhanced National Accounts Group will execute Southern’s National Accounts Strategy, leveraging Southern’s unparalleled distribution footprint across 29 markets, selling and delivery service excellence, key supplier brand alignments and proprietary market intelligence tools. These core capabilities of Southern will enable the Company to coordinate more closely than ever before with its vital national customers and suppliers—and these trading partners’ increasingly sophisticated needs.

The new organizational structure will enhance Southern’s Sales and Marketing effectiveness, account planning responsiveness and service execution efficiency. In addition, Southern’s National Accounts Group will include a dedicated Southern Wine & Spirits account leaders to manage large, priority, multi-state retailers. Southern will empower these roles to meet the full range of account needs. This increased focus on National Accounts will enable Southern to better match the planning needs of our suppliers in a more tailored fashion as well.

Under the leadership of Mr. Fennessey, the expanded National Accounts Team will be comprised of Ken Kribel, Senior Vice President, National On-Premise Accounts, Thomas McDevitt, Vice President of Business Intelligence and Category Management and a Senior Vice President, National Off-Premise Accounts for appointment at a later date. These leaders will continue to deliver timely supplier programs to fit Southern’s customers’ marketing and merchandising strategies.
