(Miami, FL, September 20, 2010) – Southern Wine
& Spirits of America, Inc. (Southern), the nation’s largest wine
and spirits distributor, today announced, effective immediately, the
promotion of James Bradney to Vice President, General Manager of the
company’s Southern California Division. Bradney will report directly
to Jack Brennan, Southern’s Executive Vice President and General
Manager of California.
Commenting on the appointment, Brennan said,
"James is a talented executive with 15 years of outstanding industry
experience—the last seven with Southern in California. Prior to joining
Southern, James worked in various leadership roles with Pepsi, Gallo
and Schieffelin & Somerset. We are pleased to have someone of
James’ caliber focused on our supplier and customer partners alike
throughout Southern California."
Brad Vassar, Southern Wine & Spirits of
America’s Executive Vice President-General Manager added, “Bradney’s
industry experience and leadership in the Southern California
market—most recently working as Vice President, General Sales Manager
of our Southern Wine & Spirits of California-Southern Division—make
him uniquely qualified for this role.”
In this new role, Bradney succeeds Steve Slater
who was recently promoted to Executive Vice President, General Manager
of Southern Wine & Spirits of America’s Wine Division.
