Moët-Hennessy USA Honors Southern Wine & Spirits with the 2011 National Ardbeg Program Award
We are pleased to share with you that Southern Wine & Spirits of America, Inc. has received the National Ardbeg Program Award for 2011. A national, year-long program from Moët-Hennessy USA, the program focuses on both distribution and case depletion metrics. The performance of all markets—large and small, open and control—contributed to the final results to determine who received this year’s award. Southern Wine & Spirits of America topped their competition, including Charmer Sunbelt Group and Glazers, by over 40 points. The grand prize was the National Ardbeg Alligator Chopper. Commenting on the award, Southern’s President & Chief Operating Officer Wayne Chaplin said, “This award is a prime example of the outstanding work of Southern employees nationwide as well as our long-standing commitment to our suppliers. We could not be more proud to congratulate all of our employees nationwide on this hard-earned accomplishment.” The Chopper will be on display during the annual Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival® in Miami, Florida at the end of this month as a donation to the Festival. The Chopper will be up for auction on the Festival’s website (www.sobefest.com/auction) through Monday, March 5th, 2012. Proceeds from the Chopper will be divided between the Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Florida International University and the Harvey R. Chaplin Family Stroke and Chest Pain Center at Mount Sinai. Congratulations to all Southern team members on their remarkable efforts, and thank you for your dedication to excellence for our suppliers.
