BarSol Pisco Acholado: So extraordinary, countries are fighting over it
What is Pisco? Pisco is a brandy made in the wine-producing regions of Chile and Peru. Acholado describes Pisco made from a blend of several grape varieties.
A National treasure Pisco is so extraordinary, Peru and Chile are in dispute over the right to produce it as an exclusive cultural commodity and claim the Pisco Sour as their national cocktail.
An Old Tradition BarSol Pisco Acholado comes from the oldest Pisco distillery in Peru, Bodega San Isidro. A secret blending of three grapes – the Quebranta, the Italia and the Torontel – gives BarSol Pisco Acholado its unique desirability. Production involves careful fermentation and a single distillation in a copper pot still dating back to the 1800s. Traditional methods for making Peruvian Pisco prohibit any additive, including water, to achieve the desired proof.
An Opportunity BarSol Pisco Acholado won a silver medal at the 2006 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. It is smooth, aromatic and elegantly versatile - perfect as an after-dinner drink or as the base for charming cocktails.
As American consumers move towards premium branded spirits, BarSol Pisco Acholado fits the bill for the sophisticated California market with its exotic heritage and high-quality production methods.
