AsomBroso: Ultra-premium tequila in a hand-blown decanter
The AsomBroso brand and distillery in Tala, Jalisco, are owned by Rick Gamarra, a Southern California-based entrepreneur dedicated to bringing an ultra-premium product to state-side consumers.
Available in trademarked, hand-blown decanters, AsomBroso Anejo tastes like no common tequila. Critics have likened it favorably to an aged Cognac or Armagnac and recommend drinking AsomBroso Anejo in a snifter to fully enjoy the flavor and bouquet. Part of the smoothness can be traced to the quadruple distillation process that removes the bitter-tasting fusel oils and methanol that are formed during the initial distillation process.
Southern Wine & Spirits also carries AsomBroso El Platino, which features a raw tequila flavor and garnered a Robb Report Best of the Best award in 2004. |
