Steven Dick, Executive Vice President, General Manager, is a 34-year veteran of Southern Wine and Spirits and previously worked in the Company’s Florida operation as General Sales Manager, Wine Division and the Pennsylvania operation for 13 years as the Executive Vice President/General Manager. Steven was also with the former Seagram Chateau & Estate Wines Company (now Diageo Chateau & Estate Wine Co., part of Diageo Plc.) as Vice President, Southern Division Manager.
Currently, Steven leads the Delaware operation where he has been the Executive Vice President/General Manager since January 2008.
Steven has had diverse experience throughout his career and has managed an extensive portfolio of different wine and spirits brands, gained expertise in operations as well as in a wide variety of product categories, and developed proven skills in successfully motivating a diverse and aggressive sales force—all of which will be indispensible to lasting success in the Company’s joint venture with FP Winner in Maryland and Washington DC.
William Barry Cregan, Jr., Vice President and General Sales Manager for Southern Wine & Spirits of Maryland and Washington DC, has been an industry veteran for almost 30 years. After attending Frostburg State College, he began his career with Simpson Distributors as the original beer pre-salesman for the state of Maryland, handling both sales and deliveries.
In 1985, Barry joined Central Distributing and helped introduce Coors to Maryland and the East Coast, he was promoted to General Sales Manager in 1987. In 1992, he decided to expand his career opportunities into wine and spirits sales and accepted a position with Reliable Liquors where he managed the Schieflin and Somerset portfolio.
In 2002 Barry joined National Distributing as Director of Sales for the company’s largest division; he was instrumental in hiring, tutelage and placement of many of the sales and management teams, while also designing a successful succession plan.
Barry joined SWS in August of 2010.
