Southern Wine & Spirits – F.P. Winner To Open a Customer-Direct Warehouse Store in D.C.
First of Its Kind in D.C., Facility to Provide Convenience to Licensed Retailers (Miami, FL – November 15, 2011) Southern Wine & Spirits – F. P. Winner has opened a direct warehouse store in Washington, D.C. This facility, which opened for business on Nov. 7, 2011, will enable licensed customers to buy direct – a convenient way to purchase product from Southern - Winner. As a way to save their many D.C. based retailers time and money while building on their recent joint venture in the Maryland and D.C. areas, this retail location will now enable these customers to purchase products direct, 6 days a week. For those customers with a valid liquor license and Washington DC photo identification, the 2,500 square-foot store -offers the same wine, spirits and water products through a store front-- a walk- in option with the same excellent customer service that Southern is known for. All trade discounts apply at the store plus a benefit: all broken case fees are waived, saving customers on the standard split case charge they would incur through a routine delivery. Southern’s President & Chief Operating Officer Wayne E. Chaplin said, "The opening of a direct- to-retailer sales location in the D.C. area creates an opportunity for our local customers to shop at their convenience without any minimums or pre-arranged delivery schedules--but still taking advantage of discounts.
