A new white wine from A-Mano:
A blend of 50% Fiano and 50% Greco. The Fiano grape gives the wine a very aromatic character, whereas the Greco grape is responsible for the wine’s body and structure. Generally harvested the last week in September from vineyards on the hillside of Putignano (“the Napa Valley of Puglia”, as winemaker Mark Shannon calls it), at 375 meters (1,230 feet) above sea level, fermentation lasted 25 days in stainless steel tanks at 8° Celsius (46.4° Fahrenheit), with no oak or malolactic. The wine is bottled using a new Stelvin Closure to assure freshness and reliability. |
