In 1775, Veuve Clicquot puts its mark in the history of champagne by being the first House to ship rose champagne.
Faithful to it's motto, "Only one Quality, the finest", Veuve Clicquot forged itself a reputation as "rosé champagne expert" thanks especially to its Vintage Rosé champagne, whose quality has been praised all over the world.
Made using grapes from 50 to 60 different villages, the structure is based on Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label's
traditional blend, i.e.
• 50 to 55% Pinot Noir
• 15 to 20% Pinot Meunier
• 28 to 33% Chardonnay
The blend includes a high percentage (25-35%, sometimes 40%) of “reserve wines” originating from several harvests of the past, which ensures the consistency and quality of the house style. It is completed with approximately 12% of red wine using black grapes especially raised and selected to give a marvelous balance to this Rosé.
