Las Vegas, Nevada, October 6, 2010 – Southern Wine & Spirits of Nevada was selected as the   overall winner by The Las Vegas Review Journal in their annual Best Workplaces in Nevada contest. Companies were nominated by their own employees who were invited to complete an online survey.

“At first glance, Southern Wine & Spirits of Nevada offers many of the same perks other local winners reported providing. Where the company takes the lead, though, is in the family-like atmosphere it fosters on the job, as well as in the smaller, more frequent tokens of appreciation it routinely hands out to employees. Start with two popular corporate-morale boosters: work-life balance and charity work. Like other businesses named as Best Workplaces in Nevada, Southern Wine & Spirits of Nevada stresses both,” noted the Journal.

"We encourage creativity and recognize innovation, as we reward people for their results and performance,” says John Wittig, Executive Vice President of Southern Wine & Spirits of Nevada.   “A lot of our approach is driven by the day-to-day pride and respect we all have for each other, but in the end, as a management team, we look to coach and mentor our teams on a daily basis."

Following news of this honor, Mr. Larry Ruvo, Senior Managing Director, Southern Wine & Spirits of Nevada, said “This award recognizes the significant and longstanding contributions made by John Wittig and our entire management team to remain committed to our number-one asset: our people.  I want to personally congratulate John and our management team on this news and say how proud I am of all our state-wide team members for their continuing hard work a
