Corporate sponsorship, community involvement and educational excellence are all important charitable concerns at Southern Wine & Spirits of New England, according to Randy Barnhart, Vice President, General Manager of Southern Wine & Spirits of New England, whose brokerage operations encompass Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont, and which is a division of Southern Wine & Spirits of America, Inc., the country’s leading wine and spirits distributor with a tradition of service since 1968.
I. Southern Wine & Spirits of New Hampshire and the 7th Annual Winter Wine Spectacular to Benefit Easter Seals
With the support of Southern Wine & Spirits of New Hampshire, along with many generous local sponsors, restaurants and business establishments, as well as individual participants, the Easter Seals New Hampshire Winter Wine Spectacular raised more than $136,000 at the Radisson Center of New Hampshire on January 28th, 2010.
More than 1,200 participated in the 7th Annual Winter Wine Spectacular and were welcomed by two massive rooms filled with more than 1,400 distinctive wines from around the world, fabulous food from the area’s best restaurants, and world re-known wine makers. According to Mr. Barnhart, this charitable tasting and food festival is one of the most popular consumer wine events in the state.
Presented by The New Hampshire Wine and Liquor Outlets and part of Wine Week 2010, this largest wine tasting north of Boston benefits Easter Seals Family Centered Early Supports and Services this year. A program devoted to children birth to 3-years-old, helping to enhance their growth and development through speech, occupational and physical therapy. This program ensures that a child's development is on track those first critical years. Easter Seals provides services around the state to adults and children with disabilities and their families.

II. Southern Wine & Spirits of New Hampshire and the Belknap/Merrimack Counties Food Bank
The Company also supports The Local Belknap/Merrimack Counties Food Bank during its annual food drive. In 2009, the non-profit group collected more than 500 pounds of canned goods from Company employee donations. In addition, more than $1,000 in donations to local food bank thanks to the generosity of Southern Wine & Spirits of New England team members in the Company.
III. The Company also supports the local chapters of The New Hampshire Cancer Society and the New Hampshire Cystic Fibrosis Society via major sponsorships of their yearly gold classic fundraisers.
In addition, the Company offers its support to many other local charities, including youth groups, church groups, local hospitals and area food banks via monetary and physical volunteerism, via road races, and running marathons.
