Larry Romer

Mr. Larry Romer has almost 30-years experience in the beverage industry. He was appointed Vice President and General Manger of Southern Wine & Spirits of New York in December 2004 – shortly after Southern acquired Premier Wine & Spirits of New York and entered the Empire State. Mr. Romer, an industry veteran and native New Yorker, oversees the spirits business for Southern’s statewide organization.

Prior to joining Southern, Mr. Romer served as Regional Vice President/Eastern Division of Jim Beam (Future Brands) and held various Vice President positions during his 13-year Jim Beam career – including VP West and Control, VP West/South Central and Canada and VP East.

Before becoming a member of the Jim Beam management team, Mr. Romer spent nine-years at the Coca-Cola Bottling Company. The last title he held at Coca-Cola was District Manager Metro New York. Mr. Romer also spent seven years with Paddington Corporation as State Manager of New Jersey and State Manager of New York, before being promoted to various Vice President positions.

Mr. Romer received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Manhattan College in New York and his MA from Adelphi University in New York.

Married for almost 30 years, Mr. Romer enjoys spending time with his wife and three grown children. His favorite hobbies include tennis, golf and water sports.
